I have had an idea for a baseball mogul league for quite a while. A retro league that started in the year 1920. The league would feature Negro League rookies being introduced in with historical rookies. Cities would be equalized, and if enough owners were interested then I would only commish the league. If this sounds interesting you can leave a reply here or ask any questions here as well. I have a forum that is willing to host if I have enough people interested. Currently have five managers out of 16 teams.

Well judging by the crickets there is not a lot of interest in this idea. Is there an era you would like to see available in a league?

I'd be interested in the 1920s idea, would also be interested in other historical leagues depending on when (I like the 1950s).

Yea the few other guys I have have been talking, and we are thinking about doing a 1956 start. If you are interested, would be glad to have you. Just want to be a part of something different then the 50 million modern leagues out there now.

One of my leagues (http://www.sportsmogul.com/vbulletin2/showthread.php?t=197871) has been in in the 1920s since last year, and unless I'm mistaken 2k9 and 2k10 do have negro league players making the amateur draft. I know I saw Satchel Paige a season or two ago. Sorry to say I'm not as familiar with others who played in them.

Mogul includes Negro League players that eventually made the major leagues. So guys like Satchel are included at any earlier point. However, players like Oscar Charleston, Cristobal Torriente, and Josh Gibson to just name a few that never got a shot at the big leagues aren't included. That said unfortunately I've put the 1920 league idea on hold. I formed a league that started in 1956 on the advice of a few of the GMs in the league, and it quickly filled up so I guess they were right.

The Earths Children series by Jean M. Auel is an interesting series of historical fiction set 25,000 years ago. The first 3 are reasonably good but the quality deteriorates thereafter. They are quite sexually graphic in places if that sort of thing bothers you.

Yea I haven't read those yet, but heard good things about the series. Little confused what this has to do with the topic at hand though.

Very odd form of spam. You don't get literary spam every day.
