To quote the lead counsel for the Redskins: "I don’t know of any pro football team that doesn’t [sue their fans]”.

And the insane thing is.. The person still likes the team.. If I got sued by the Jays, you can bet they wouldn't still be my favourite team..

favouriteIt's so cute how you Canadians don't know how to spell.
;)
(This is an inside joke for me. I moved from England to California when I was 5 and I took a spelling test to decide what grade to place me in -- and I got marked wrong for 'armour', 'colour' and 'grey').

People signed these contracts knowingly, Its not like these are at the end of long term deals, these are people that committed to paying upwards of $50,000 over 6/10 years and found out in less that a year that oops, all of the sudden they can pay for it ?
It seems like most of these people are guilty of careless spending, and most dont seem to have long stories about how they tried to work something out, they just called the pay department said no and they gave up.
While I hate to come down on the side of Rampant Capatialism, a contract is a contract, just because you all of the sudden have difficulties doesn't mean you should expect to have every kowtow and help you out.

She wasnt trying to do that though. She said she doesnt even believe in filing in bankruptcy, but still its a sad story and its just another thing that makes greed ok in our society. A contract is a contract yes, but maybe consider having a heart? Is that so bad?

Some how I don't think we'd have the same reaction if this was written about the guy who defaulted on his contract because he was in Jail of embezzlement or the one who lost his job for running an 8 million dollar ponzi scheme.
