than 5 years, the league goes so quick at 60 games maybe it should be eight or ten years. At 5 yrs. there is no real reason to invest money in rookies. Just a thought

Thats quite true as every one will go for it from the start but I think thats the idea so that every is active and tring to win not get the best rookies.

You do have a point...but remember, teams cannot go all out with free agents to win now, as any team in debt at the end of the final season will be disqualified.

Mostly we just want to keep things moving.
We weren't sure how many people would participate; but if a lot signed up we'd have to have several rounds, and it could take a really long time.
We'll definitely be taking feedback on how to improve this for future competitions.
Thanks,
James

That the Mogul challenge has done is weaken alot of existing leagues, next time maybe one league would suffice.3 leagues is 90 spots and at least half of those were spots that people left an existing league.I imagine it would be frustrating for commishes out there that see there leagues dying because of a BBMO sanctioned event.I definetly think this has to be addressed, maybe add a bonus spot to silver subscribers so they won't leave there existing leagues, anyways look at the existing leagues and you'll see some of the leagues that were always full are all of a sudden dropping below 25,this should be a cause for concern for you guys.I know myself I only like full leagues and quickly lose interest as numbers drop:(

Thank you for your feedback.
It would be very difficult for us to give additional team slots so players could join Mogul Challenge without dropping a league. However, we have found that the majority of commissioners have not really seen any effect on their league...in fact, we have had a few commissioners that actually helped promote Mogul Challenge from within their leagues.

maybe the final round could be 7 seasons
so that rookies and the farm system will play a bigger role.
also, more contract situations will arise
and people wont be able to master the strategies for 5-season mogul challenge
just an idea.

I joined a league in progress 8 seasons ago and filled the last slot to make 30 human owners. We are now down to 14 owners and many of the missing are playing in these challenges. I only have a bronze account because I only have so much time to play the game. While I enjoy it very much, the part I like the best is playing over many seasons to see if I can maintain a successful organization. Playing against the computer takes the fun out of it. While I love the league I'm in, I'm now reduced to thinking about quitting because the challenges has siphoned off many players from the league. I realize one voice from a guy with one team won't make a heck of lot of difference, but I just thought I should reply to statement that this isn't affecting many leagues, because it most certainly is.
thanks

Well, that doesn't make much sense to me. There are only 60 GM's out of hundreds and hundreds of managers throughout BBMO who are playing Mogul Challenge, so I can't see how you could say half your league left to be in the Challenge.
Thank you for your feedback!

The majority of GM's that left leagues were ready to. I was one of those. If i really liked a league I was in, I wouldn't leave it. I believe most players are the same. The leagues that lost players probably had run their course and were ready to go down.

I didn't say half left the league to be in the challenge. Let me break it down for you. Of the sixty challenge owners, I count 8 that were in my league. Now that brings us from 30 to 22 in one fell swoop. Now if you're one of the other 22 owners, like myself, what's the first thing you think? This league must be winding down, so you move on to another league, rather than playing against the computer. Eight of the 22 decide to do so. Leaving us with 14. That makes sense to me.

mcpickl,
You are assuming that most BBMO players only have access to a single league. My BBMO account gives me access to 3 leagues, and I know quite a few have access to 10 leagues.
There are many reasons why a league fails to sustain interest. Sometimes the commissioner loses interest, or perhaps a community has not developed to sustain interest. I doubt the BBMO challenge has had much impact on other leagues.

I didn't assume anything. If you have access to a thousand teams and you join the Mogul challenge, you have to drop out of one league, yes?

mcpickl, if you want an active league to join, join Mogulers...we've been going strong for a few seasons now, and many of the original owners are still there. And many who joined late(like me) have stuck around because it's fun.
