I just simmed a game between the 1978 Raiders and Steelers. Long story short, Oakland jumped to a 14-6 lead when Pittsburgh scored a touchdown to make it 14-12.
Then Franco Harris ran in a two point conversion to tie it. The 2 pointer is a very recent development in the NFL.

This brings up other historical differences: the goal posts were, for a time, even with the goal line rather than at the back of the end zone; a missed field goal resulted in a touchback (ball on the 20) or runback rather than returning to the line of scrimmage; hash marks were wider (probably that predated 1970); hold rules were more stringent; multiple hit-and-run on receivers was legal (the "Isaac Curtis" rule after Miami neutralized the Bengal superstar in a playoff game.)

8.030 has a checkbox in the League Editor that will turn on/off 2-point conversions. If you don't touch that box, Football Mogul will automatically add 2-point conversions in 1994.
For missed field goals, the ball is put at the point of the snap from 1994 until the present; from the line of scrimmage between 1974 and 1993; and on the 20-yard line before 1974.
The goal posts are also moved from the goal line to the back of the end zone in 1974.
The other rules are incorporated into the overall sim engine, so that for example passing becomes easier after the rules were changed regarding receiver contact.

Where do I get the 8.030 patch?

Start your game, and there's an option to update it. :)

I just went for a two point conversion. I failed, but there were two bugs I thought I would point out to the staff.
I failed the attempt because my quarterback threw an interception. Statistics are not recorded in the NFL for conversion plays, with the exception of the score itself. Running backs do not get carries or yards, quarterbacks do not get attempts or completions or yards or interceptions. Receivers do not get receptions or yards. Receivers and backs do get credit for the two point conversion, but nothing else.
My quarterback was credited with an interception, which was annoying, but the bigger problem is this: After the play, the intercepting team kicked off to me! I know it's a matter of the team in possession kicking off, but that is one imposing flaw!

Post that bug in a new thread, Clay isn't apt to notice it in a "FIXED" thread.
