This is albeit very picky, but the game will set up playoff matchups with teams (if the wild card is from the same division as the No. 1 seed) from the same division in the divisional round in the 1970s. Teams from the same division weren't allowed to play each other in the divisional round of the playoffs until 1990 when the playoffs were expanded to six teams per conference.
Technically, teams weren't seeded and home field wasn't assigned by record until 1975, but I don't mind that as much. From 1970-74, a formula was in place to rotate home-field assignments for the divisional and championship game rounds among the three division winners. I have the NFL record book from 1970 with that formula, if you're interested.
