8.020 My team locked out of draft [Fixed 8.040]

At some point in the offseason when I start the draft (this last time was 2012) when I click on the dialogue box to start the draft process, my team's name disappears and the draft drop down menu says "Start Draft".

This has happened when I have let the computer draft for me as well as when I have attempted to take manual control.

Other than that, I love what you've done with the game.

Has anyone else had these problem? I can't reproduce it.

Can you show me a screen shot of the 'Draft' news page, after the draft, showing that your team never got a pick? That could give a clue as to whether the computer thought the draft pick was traded, or whether something else is going on.

i had a similar situation happen and its happen a couple of times on the first round draft i was no.28 or the last one in that year and some how when it got to #27 the screen flickerd then it allowed me to pick both 27 and 28 draft spots. when it got to the 2nd round it went back to normal. im using 8.030 and and im on xp. i have an image not sure how to put it on here.

This just happened to me. I'm running 8.030 on XP. I hope this helps.

Cincinnati should be at #30.

You can actually work around this problem. When it says 'The College Draft is Ready to Begin", click 'No'. That will pause the game and force it to correctly order the draft picks. Then use the Play Menu to start the draft.

However I've also fixed this problem in 8.040 which should soon be posted as an unofficial patch.
