I think that Baseball Mogul Should expand. They should make it for PSP, PS 2 and 3, Iphone, Itouch and XBOX. This would be somthing I would buy for 2K11.

PSP- You can play it on the go.
PS 2 and 3- Play it like a vodeo game
XBOX- same for PS 2 and 3
IPHONE and ITOUCH- Make an App for it. To play on the go.

All of these things have internet on them so people can come here and do stuff for them. You could also do Leagues on them. Kind of.

This would make this game very popualr and it should also be done for Football Mogul.

I feel that the interface that would work best for the game is the one we have. I would be much more into improving the game and enhancing it on the one platform, rather than porting it.

agree with mizerak....and i think we have had this discussion in the past.....i think the labor intensive work that it would require, and the amount of things that would have to be sacrificed would be too great and too costly to attempt.

i wish games like the show were more stat friendly though, the way Mogul is.

The Wii already has a decently fun baseball sim/GM experience, in MLB Power Pros.

Put this on a console, and all the fun for me - manually editing rosters, undoing trades, simming ahead, using Mizerak's apps, and playing on the airplane while travelling for work...they are all gone.

Consoles have their own games that work for them, The Bigs, The Show, MLB 2K9, etc. BBM isn't really meant to be a competitor to those.

to answer the question, i would probably BUY the game, but i don't think it would work, so the question needed a better explanation for it's answer.

Best. Game. Ever.

There's a game for PS3 much like Mogul called Front Office Manager...I bought it thinking it would be like Mogul but playing it is so damn frustrating.

And baseball mogul is not really a "video game".

I personally enjoy tinkering with the game myself and improving it in various ways and I don't see myself able to do that on another platform, so I would stick with it the way we have it now.

Out of what you listed, I think one for the Itouch/ Iphone would be the most realistic.

The licensing costs to get this game approved by MS and Sony for console release would bankrupt Clay. And he'd sell...what...6 copies? How would you control this thing with a controller?

Clay should make Baseball Mogul for the Sega Genesis and SNES.

This isn't the type of game that would make it on a console. Personally I wouldn't play it on anything other then a computer. To bring a game to console you have to know that you are going to have widespread appeal. And a sim games like this just don't have that. Clay would lose a ton of money doing so.

I wouldn't play it on a console.
It's a text/data based game
It's best with a keyboard and mouse.
The only way I would play this on a console is with a keyboard connected to it.

I think it would be best left as is. Perhaps could be reworked for hand-helds (Game boy or the PSP) or as has been mentioned for 4g cell-phones.

IF it were to be a console game the idea would have to switch to a general manager/manager role.

manage 162 games with infinate choices for coaching 9+ innings in live real time.

there could even be an online league where "players" coach their teams against each other

In other words, if another development company came in and ported the game, without taking any time or money away from the PC version?

Personally speaking, unless it got more portable than it is now (via carrying around a laptop), by being ported to a handheld device of some kind, I don't think I would pursue it on another platform.

I might buy it but prob not. It's best for pc and I am not sure if i would pursue it esp when i don't play online in my systems.

This is how a lot of companies do their Mac ports--which is a booming market. And Mac fans are, well, fanatical. You can't believe the press / word of mouth support you'd get bringing a game like to this the Mac.

No. Unless there was a way to vastly improve the gameplay to at least that of the 2K series.

I'd buy it and throw away my 1990's laptop

Really, I'd like a game with the depth of Baseball Mogul and the visuals of a console game. I'd be in heaven.

Boy there is an understatement! LOL The thing is Maccies can get the windows interface for their Mac and play Mogul on it now.

Hmm, I don't see Mac gaming as any sort of a booming market. Macintosh users who avidly game, especially those interested in more esoteric sorts like GM simulators, typically have a Windows machine to do it on or use something like Parallels. For Mac gaming, you would have to take your current PC Windows market, divide it by 15 for your potential Macintosh user base, and then divide by another 2 or 3 to account for Macintosh users who allready run your software on another platform and wouldn't bother to duplicate their software across platforms.

It would be better trying to establish yourself in a newer emerging gaming market like on the iPhone

I'd hate to see this.

Baseball Mogul is a great game, however lets keep in mind how completely buggy the rollout of flexible rosters was in BM '10. Considering that in the beta version of BM '11 that adjusting the number of pitchers/bench players still results in players on the MLB roster appearing in the "minors" window, that there are "Bench" designations that don't line up to any player, and all the other problems that flexible rosters still are creating, the LAST thing I'd want is for Clay to start having to divide his time into dealing with different platforms.

Let's save the expansion until we can get one CLEAN Baseball Mogul release.

That being said, I think the iPhone APP would be a killer app. I think it would rival the revenues from the current Baseball Mogul, and be the outlet BM needs to get the online leagues (aka like Hattrick) going again.

Some console games already use the BBM engine don't they?

I think it'd be a way better idea to have a company produce a truly great baseball *video game*, and then just have it "Featuring The BASEBALL MOGUL 2011 Engine" for all the front office stuff. Without that 'action' aspect, nobody would want it on a console, there's just no point. Everybody has a computer, and the interface is just loads better.

They have tried to bring IF and adventure games to consoles, with very little success over the past 20 years. I think business and sports sims will meet the same fate. Games with no action or special effects just don't make it on consoles. Aerobiz might be the exception :P

Although I think BBM could find a market by being ported to other platforms, I would answer no simply because support resources are already spread too thin. Developing and managing other platforms would only make this worse.
