ya, some of us watched the game, He has the potential to be a Nolan Ryan but left handed ace....he walks a lot of guys, would be nice if he could lower his pitch counts. But he is a real threat, at a very young age.

His control is better than Ryan's was until his 30's....which is really more of a statement on how poor Ryan's control was than a compliment to Kershaw. Pitchers of Kershaw's raw talent, though, are prone to have it "click" seemingly overnight and transform from an excellent pitcher to a Cy Young caliber pitcher simply by knocking a walk or two per 9 off their rate. Witness Randy Johnson 1992 to 1993. Brandon Webb 2004 to 2005. Roy Halladay 1999/2000 to 2001/2002. etc.
