8.040 Roster imbalance

After starting in 1970 and playing 6 season, some of the computer teams have huge roster imbalances. A few teams have 7 or 8 punters, and hardly any backup players on offense or defense. Other teams have 10-12 LBs or Gs. These teams are very short on backups in other positions. Going through each team in commisioner mode and releasing players seems like more work than it's worth. I'm getting to the point where I will probably give up on the game.

i agree. i posted an error about the salaries being out of whack. some players making outrages salaries. which throws the whole league ticket prices off and everyone else salaries. to me this is a big bug but still have had no response to it. every time i play the game it really aggravates me. i am about to drop the game myself and go on. unfortunately i was hoping for allot more.

I had the salary problem too. A put in a salary cap and that seemed to fix it. But every year now I get a message that the league wants to change the salary cap to 0, so I have to manually adjust it myself every few years to keep up with inflation.

When the game asks 'permission' to adjust the salary cap, it's also asking permission to up the inflation value. If you continually say 'no', then the league will stay at the old inflation level.

Starting with v 8.040, you shouldn't NEED a salary cap pre-1993 anymore. Have you checked lately?

I'm currently using 8.040 and still having these problems. The league keeps asking to change the salary cap to $0.
