I'm in a league where we just completed the 2008 season and unsigned free agents just went into the pool. I'm new and just jumped in this league in the middle of 2008. So the end-of-season stuff is new to me.
Yesterday before the FA bidding started, I had 5 guys who are signed through 2009. So I expected once my 2008 FA's went into the pool, that these 5 guys would be my new FA's for 2009. Sure enough, they are, when looking at the contract page they all have drop downs, ect. But now they are listed as being signed through 2008 not 2009??? And they are giving me the option to sign them for years 2008-2014. But 2008 season is complete!?!
Is this just some sort of bug or whatever since 2008 is complete, but the calendar year is still 2008 so the program is confused??? Or is there 2 FA signing periods at the end of season and at the end of the calendar year???
