Am I seriously going to have to make my own. What happened to GM or French post season Rosters (or anyone). JPZ's aren't too bad, but I can't stand a roster updated for 2009 that starts for the 2009 season. Youngings get both the in game boost throughout the year and the author of the file's boost from actual results. It's maddening and ruins the file after one year. (Montero is the first player that comes to mind).

Also does anyone in the world have any respect for Houston anymore. Castro is supposed to be ready for the bigs next year yet not one file will he even sim to a mid 80s caliber players...ugh.

I wish I had the time to start a file from scratch but I don't, and usually there's at least some file I can use to bass my personal opinions and edits off of, but to be blunt the roster edits have gone to **** since the 07 version of the game.

Lastly, apologies for those rosters are out there. My point isn't to blast you guys, I know first hand how many hours and the endless spreadsheets it takes to make one, but at the same time editing a roster based on 09 results then starting the file on April 2009 is incredibly counter-intuitive. If you have any private edits where the file starts after the 09 season please PM me.

You can change the date to whatever you want in the league editor.

Also, does it really matter? After the first year (in most cases a few months) the game's rosters will be nothing like real life. Mogul isn't a historical replay, it's a simulation games. Besides, if you don't like the ratings, you can always change them in commissioner mode.

Yes it does. Many people like playing the game like it is real life, like a more in depth fantasy baseball, that's how I play. That means making sure the players in the game are as close to the real life player. It's fun to play around with random players, but in the end I want to play around with real players with realistic stats.

I believe that was his point of the post.

Like I said, in a few months of game-play, everything is completely different.

No, I don't get from his post that he thinks he can edit players if he didn't like it, I see a lot of bitching about the rosters that people make on their own time, without pay, while most of them use guys like Bill James or CHONE to base the ratings on.
