What with this point krap, can't they just use a monetary based system that makes sense. And they are out of whack anyways.

I.E. i'm in Beta 148 weekday sim (1st season)
Carlos Delgado makes 85 points through 2004 that seems hugely high when compared to A-Rod who is making 107 points through 2007. Then to get the average cost per season you have to divide the points with the years left in the contract.

Would it not be easier if it said: Carlos Delgado makes $20 million through 2004 and $5million per season for example.

I'd like to offer a clarification that may help you understand the finances a bit better.

If Carlos Delgado is being offered 85 points through 2004, that is 85 points per year, for a total of 340 points for 2001-2004.

So A-Rod is making 25% more than Carlos Delgado, in your example.

It would be more clear if the pages said "85 points per year through 2004" but we had to shorten things in the interest of fitting more data on the web pages.

Please, please, please take a breath, play the game, and see how it all works together before you start critisizing things too strongly. Some things may look a little curious at first, but it all works together pretty well.

I'd suggest getting into a fast sim league for maximum exposure. That way, you can see all of the features in action, quicker.

If you have any questions, go ahead and post them. Someone will give you some helpful hints.

BTW, the salaries are annual. You do not divide the salary by the number of years. The 107 is per year.

I wasn't so much as critisizing as needing an explanation.
To me it sounded like 85 points through 2004 was the total, but now that has been clarified.
