I can only imagine how many will participate in this. Oh well, its fun anyway.

The winner for the playoffs will get a very special prize. The satisfaction of knowing you're better at picking Playoff Games.

Basically this will be a little different, I realize a lot of people can be tied for first so we are going to do a little point system like this.

First round picks: 1 Points per win
2nd Round Picks: 2 Points per win
Conference Championship: 3 Points per win
Super Bowl: 4 Points for whoever predicts the victor.

NE at home even without Welker will be too much for BAL. Although I will be rooting for BAL.
NYJ-CIN is tough one. I give a slight edge to CIN. I think the rookie QB will make 1 too many mistakes. Could be a 10-3 game...
Dallas at home wins their 1st playoff in over a decade. It will be closer than last week though.
Green Bay... Enough said....

I think the Packers showed their hand last week which will help Arizona. It's going to be close though, Green Bay is effing good.

New England at home is too much for anyone, imo. And that Jets D feasted last night, they can feast again on Saturday.

Cowboys...I don't know...I can't seem to pick them to win a playoff game.

First Round:

Baltimore @ New England - I get New England's D is sub par and there's no Welker, but playoffs, Brady, Bellicheck, Foxborough ... can you really pick against them

New York Jets @ Cincinnati - Yea the Bungles got pasted, but every gambler dreams of picking against a rookie QB in the playoffs, especially on the road, plus how big a stomach punch to jets fans would this be to lose this game after that showing .. Karma can't wait

Philadelphia @ Dallas - McNabb + Reid + Playoffs .. so much could go wrong, but i think Im picking more with my heart here

Green Bay @ Arizona - no Zona didn't bother to play the last game, but the Packers did, and short of the Chargers there isn't a hotter team than the Packers.

Wild Card Weekend:

Baltimore @ New England - Ray Rice for the win! 24-21
New York Jets @ Cincinnati - Palmer > Sanchez in battle of Trojans. Rex Ryan cries. 24-6
Philadelphia @ Dallas - McNabb will eat his Chunky's and Asante Samuel will quit the charade and eat 'em alive. Let's all hope Romo botches another hold. 37-27
Green Bay @ Arizona - AZ D is :( ... Aaron Rogers will have fun in this one slinging the ball all over. 28-13

It's the only bowl that the Jets will be getting to because they certainly won't be Super.

I'm surprised everyone is picking the Eagles after Sunday's performance.

Baltimore @ New England - Should be close, but the Pats should pull it out.

New York Jets @ Cincinnati - The Bengals starters trump Mark Sanchez's supposed 'poise'.

Philadelphia @ Dallas - Dallas slaughtered Philly's starters last week. I haven't seen any compelling evidence of why that should change.

Green Bay @ Arizona - Just have a feeling here.

The reason is the Eagles not showing their hand so much. 4 Blitzes in the first half, very atypical. Offensive wise, they really didnt try to go deep a heck of a lot either, which was unusual.

Dallas on the other hand, went into spread packages, which showed the Eagles something they arent used to. They will be able to implement a game plan for this. Its going to be a close one though.

That was very strange. Why would they do that? It wasn't like GB-Ariz or Cin-NYJ where both teams knew going in they would play each other again. If Philly would have won they would have had a 1st round bye. Apart from that the teams already played each other once before so they know each other pretty well already. Just makes no sense....

I know Arizona played it right. I have no idea why Philly did what they did. For a team that sometimes blitzes 60% of the time to only do that 4 times in a half considering all at stake was just very odd.

Another odd thing was if they didnt want to show their hand, why play McNabb until the end?

I just dont know, the only reasonable to think is Philly has something up their sleeve.

First Round:

Baltimore @ New England - I like Baltimore, but NE is tough at home in the playoffs.
New York Jets @ Cincinnati - Cincy at home can turn it on for the playoff game. Then lose next round
Philadelphia @ Dallas - If Dallas does notwin someone will get fired!
Green Bay @ Arizona - Tough to go against the home team that made the SB last year!

MichelleWie

Are we still doing this? If So:

Cardinals @ Saints - Way to much offense in this one.
Ravens @ Colts - Ravens will cover the spread[6.5] but will lose.
Cowboys @ Vikings - The game I won't miss. Should be a classic.
Jets @ Chargers - The jets Cinderella run comes to an end.

the Moose
01-14-2010, 11:48 AM
Cardinals @ Saints - A healthy Boldin and Kurt will light up the slumping Saints
Ravens @ Colts - Will be a close game but Manning is >>>>>>> Flacco and that's the edge
Cowboys @ Vikings - Cowboys goin' to the SB
Jets @ Chargers - Obvious

I skipped the first week, so I'm tied with gRYFYN1. So I could theoretically still win!

Cardinals @ Saints - I like both these teams and will be rooting for one of them to win the NFC title game.

Ravens @ Colts - I think the Colts folding in Week 16 will hurt them, and I'm rooting for the Ravens. But Peyton is just too good, and the Ravens won't be as lucky with the early turnovers.

Cowboys @ Vikings - I grew up a Cowboys fan, but now I hate them.

Jets @ Chargers - If the Colts had shown up against the Jets, they wouldn't even be here. But I'm glad Ochocinco got sent home early.

I only went one for four in wild card round, getting the Ravens correct. Let's see what I can do this time around.

Cardinals @ Saints- look for another shootout. Saints secondary hurting. 42-35.
Ravens @ Colts- as said before Manning >>> Flacco, even with Ray Rice running wild. 27-23.
Cowboys @ Vikings- Vikes front four forces Romo into multiple turnovers. 24-21.
Jets @ Chargers- blow out city. Revis can cover Jackson, but that still leaves Gates, Spoles, Naane, etc. 31-14.

Cardinals at Saints-I don't think any team in the NFL needed that first round bye more then the Saints. I think they will take advantage in a big time shoot out.

Ravens at Colts-The Colts are choke artists, but not in this one.

Cowboys at Vikings-Vikes D has just enough to stop a red hot Dallas team.

Jets at Chargers-Call it a hunch. And I hate the Chargers so picking them is against my religion or something.

Arizona @ New Orleans - It'll be a shootout with the Saints eking out a win.
Baltimore @ Indianapolis - It will be closer than many expect, but the Colts win it.
Dallas @ Minnesota - This one is kind of a toss up. I just have a feeling about Dallas. Besides, I need to pick an upset. :)
New York Jets @ San Diego - Chargers roll as Mark Sanchez becomes a turnover machine.

well thats just mean ...maybe i can make a run at a mythical 0-11 postseason!

Cardinals @ Saints - who knows if the saints can turn it off/on like the Cards can.

Ravens @ Colts - The Colts kill me, this game looks like a 24-23 game.

Cowboys @ Vikings - I don't trust Favre, Minny's D is short it best line backer and it only decent DB is still injured

Jets @ Chargers - Is Norv Turner a good coach? I have no clue... he's sucking everyone in to thinking he is ...

I'll go ahead and post for next week

Minnesota @ New Orleans - I'm thinking blowout. I don't think the Vikings can keep up with the Saints offense

New York @ Indianapolis - I want the Jets to win but I don't think they will.

Arctic Blast

Minnesota @ New Orleans - We'll see if the Vikings D can do some damage against an o-line actually capable of pass blocking. Clearly, I'm betting the overall answer will be no. I see a close game, but the home team gets the win.

New York @ Indianapolis - I don't see Manning making the stupid plays Rivers did. He has a better line in front of him, and seeing the issues the Jets had with Gates makes me suspect Dallas Clark is going to run wild. Also, Indy has a better pass rush than the Chargers, so Marky Mark isn't going to have all day in the pocket.
