Your other thread on this was answered by our VP, James Grove:

Hi, DPY2KZ -

Thanks for implying that you like the game.

We decided to make BBMO a subscription-based game for several reasons. If you search the boards you can probably find some year-old posts somewhere where we talk about it.

The key reasons are:

1.) It keeps involvement up. In free leagues, like many fantasy sports sites have, lots of players create teams that they never manage. This detracts from other player's enjoyment of the game
2.) It costs us money. We have to pay for a T1 line as well as several high-end servers to run the game. Even if we work cheap, we still have to pay the bills.
3.) Advertising doesn't cut it any more. We don't run pop-ups (because we hate them, and our customers hate them), and there is not much money in banners these days.

We are about to roll out an affiliate program, however, so if you have a website where you can refer people to us then you can earn your subscription. How does that sound? (Note: I'm not sure if there is an age limit... I'll have to check with the lawyers...)

Thanks for your interest,
James Grove

well, i guess your right, but may be can you make a mogul league with less options and stuff for people that don't have the money to pay (like 13 year olds.) Watch how yahoo does it. Also, for inactivity, you can erase a team if there inactive for like 3 weeks, or however long you want. Thats all i had to say, send me ur replies.
