Will He make it to the hall of fame?

My reason

Ozzie Smith did because of one accept of the game Defense,
Bill Mozerali(can't spell) because of Defense,

Edgar should make it, because of his hitting. He has a life time avg. of around .311 and 2 batting titles, Has been in the top 10 in MVP at least 3 times, not only that he practices and taught future HOF member Alex rodiguez work eithics, He can hit a ball till he is 60years old. Not only that, He doesn't have that much talent, it is just hard work, that has paid off, not many people can do this

A couple things working against Edgar.....

Playing in relative obscurity until Griffey thrust the M's into the spotlight in '95 (although he did win the Batting Title in '92).

258 career homers in an Era where 258 ain't much. Granted, he has missed alot of games to injury, but if anything that hurts his chances even more.

I don't think using the ____ is in so ______ should be in is a valid arguement, because there are many undeserving HOF's currently (many of which the Veteran Committee elected, not the voters. Mazeroski is certainly an example), but that doesn't mean that more average players should be elected. It simply means the standards need to become tougher (like that will happen :().

Oh and.....Edgar only finished in the Top 10 in MVP Voting twice.

ps....I voted he needs a few more healthy seasons, but I find it VERY hard to believe he has any full healthy seasons left in him, much less 3.
