There are way too many punters and kickers populating the free agent pool ever since the 9.030 update. I'd say they represent 90%+ of the free agents every season.

Yeah, it seems that as you go on (at least playing from 2010 on) the position players thin out extremely and you just get K and P.

The highest FA available in.. 2014-2015 Offseason for me is like an 82 Overall TE, Mogul difficulty.

Exactly! You have to sign free agents during the early sim years. Once you go on it's mostly punters and kickers.

I am tempted to sign some and put them on the line?

Yep, getting the same thing..

Just venturing a guess, I'd imagine it has to do with the contract renewal AI being tweaked.. it's kind of gone from one end of the spectrum to the other. Before, there was too much talent available, now, not enough.

I've been wondering that myself unfortunately.

It's a shame, because 9.030 is basically unplayable after a few years starting in 2010.. there's literally NO talent in FA pool, the draft distribution is straight up ridiculous.. not enough decent QBs/RBs/O Line and tons of WR/LB/CB/DE/DT in the draft.

The game would need to either limit kickers and punters or make the free agency pool rather large. I would prefer a larger free agency pool

I will be following this thread carefully. I was about to buy the game and this made me stop in my tracks... I`ll reconsider buying it once this issue is resolved. Multi-year playability is what this thing is all about.

I had the 2003 version (or around that time). I haven`t played it in years. Probably got rid of it years ago. The game was on par with BM back then, or close to it anyway. The gap has clearly widden... sales ratio with BM must be 20-to-1...

Please Grig and daves, keep the board posted on improvement when the next patch comes out... I`ll be reading.

This game is very unplayable and frustrating to do multi seasons, You are better off saving your money on this one til it is fixed, I wish I did.

I've basically stopped playing at this time, there's no point. The previous years have ridiculous amounts of talent being released into the FA pool, the modern/future years have none after like 4 years. I'm a bit disappointed that 9.030 is (seemingly) the last patch and it's left in a ridiculous state. I understand it's unofficial but it's not as if the last official patch was that much better.

Definitely feel like I got burned on this purchase, though Football Mogul has done that for the past few years.

I had to download and re-install the whole game. I did not lose anything from my current leagues.
