Yo, guys, i had think of an idea for making a competetive league: the next league will be Fast sim 67, so every active manager plz join, and there will be sure no cheating, cause once we have enough active managers, we know who r cheating, so those jerks wont cheat cause they will just their account deleted, so i wanna know who will join fast sim 67 later?

Thanks for doing this. We are working on ways to set up leagues with a group of non-cheating active managers, but don't have them in place yet.

I think we will be setting up a handful of password-protected leagues this week. If you are interested in organizing one, please contact James Grove (james@sportsmogul.com) and we'll see what we can do.

Clay, this is reall a great game that's a lot of fun. I stumbled across the site a few days ago and have become completely hooked. Might as well call it Baseball Mogul 2002: crack for the baseball junkie.

Seriously, its great. It's a shame there are so many people who insist on cheating while playing the free service/beta test you guys have up. I can tell you right now that in league Fast Sim 67 the Cleveland manager cheats (acquiring Sosa AND money for nothing, he's obviously running the Cubbies, at least one other team also.)

I would definitely be interested in participating/lending a hand to a password-protected league

I do not know how much I should say but I will say this much. It looks to be that I have the opportunity to run an active league on behalf of Baseball Mogul for active GM's which would allow me to offer active GM's like yourself the chance to join a commited active league which will garner your maximum potential interst. I do not know that many of you although the Gm's that posted that i know are TGG and Faulk28. I have past experience for the last 6 years running a hockey simulated league and would like to offer a Fast Sim league for you the active GM. Your posting history. I believe I am the only Mogul on the messageboard so I do post lots of messages. It looks like I will be the commisioner. Unlike Fast Sim 69 that you are waiting on this one you wont have to email Clay or Ian or James or anynone at headoffice. I would be the commisioner and can invite or remove you from the league if you are inactive. I would like to state that if we are running an active GM league I believe 7 days or LESS would be the max unless youo post on the messageboard that you are leaving for vacation or medical or whatever.

29 teams will be available as I already took the Red Sox being that I have no problem giving away money to teams who are in the red. So if interested please email me.

Yes. I have been contacted about running one and they got all my information and will be setting up a league very soon. Maybe even by tomorrow. it will be password enabled and you can join if you want just email me with your userid and what leagues youo're in so I know whos joining.

I know I'd sure like to see how the game plays with a league full of active, rule-following players... I just checked the two leagues I'm still in, and over 2/3rds of the players haven't even logged in in over 2 weeks (of fast-simming). Now I know why it seemed so easy to turn San Diego into a dynasty, although it makes me feel even lamer that my Tampa Bay team is still an also-ran... :)

I'm going to be a commissioner also. I'm looking for active beta testers to join my league when it is set up. I already picked the Braves.

I'm going to ask that noone make trades with computer teams in hope that we can have a tester controlling every team.

I'd love to play in more than one league. Personally, I'd like to have one league where I play a team in each tier, in order to see what the nuances are of controlling teams with different incomes. Of course, I can do this now, but without a competitive environment, it kind of scews things.

Anyways I have a lot of people offering to join and I dont want to take away Gm's from Bad_Ash or Particleman who Ive seen posting many times. If anyone wants a small market team or non large market I will try to reserve a team for you. But if you want the Yankees, Indians or Rockies you will have to be there in time. But please if you are confident with your abilities take a small market team. I am still undecided what I want. Maybe I will do Minnesota I dont know. If I can I will try to make the small market teams more competitve but that depends on what control I have within the simulator.

The main advantage for Mogul in allowing this type of league is that they can see their game in a competitive environment. And I'm sure that they want to make everybody happy - even the guys who take small market teams. Not everyone can play the Braves, Rockies, Yankees or Red Sox.

There has to be some carrots for the small market managers, and this type of league will quickly check to see if what is in place is enough to entice players from the market place. If players get frustrated playing MBBOL, they will not continue to play. That's bad for business.

So, sign me up for a small market team, and let's see how this puppy flys!

I would also like a response. The sooner it starts the better. I have not interest in joining tier 1 teams in case you have some way of automatically signing people up. I have no problem with Oakland. Just about any team I would be happy with and hopefully turn the team into a winner as I have with Texas, San Francisco, and Montreal.
