14.01 Simulation is very slow.

I looked at the debug log and I have hundreds of lines like this:

1301193536 Warning: Player "xxx" has no birth year.
1301193576 Warning: Checking BIRTH_YEAR of an empty player in Get_Player_Age.
1301193581 ERROR: Overwriting batting/pitching line for "xxx".
1301194271 ERROR: Invalid nPlayer in Increment_Game_Pitcher_Fielding_Stat()
1301194271 ERROR: Invalid nSpot in Set_Game_Player_Lineup_Spot

I am in my 4th season and the simulation has become very slow as well. My debug file has far more than 50 lines.

Update: Just checked the size of the debug file and its over 4mb currently in 4 seasons.

Yes, I noticed this was very slow with 14.00, but it crawls with 14.01

I think I see the issue for the slowdown. It varies a lot by computer (or specifically by file-opening and writing speed).

I think its a combo of a bug and system performance as Clay mentioned earlier in the thread. Game is still playable.

I have played the game on a 500 Mhz computer, very nice and on a 3 Ghz computer, boring because the computer is to fast for the sim.

I believe Clay had tagged a similar post "[Fixed 14.02]". If you are having issues related to this bug I would suggest downloading the latest unofficial patch 14.02
