how well you're team is playing instead of who you are playing. I saw my attendance drop over 14,000 people from one day to the next because i was playing a poor team. So once again my team is being affected by a absent owner. I think you should keep drawing more people each time you win a series(even more when you sweep a series).

Attendence is really affected by who is pitching and who you are playing. If your team is winning it should be less affected by the pitcher and team. From personal experience trying to get tickets when Nolan Ryan and Randy Johnson are pitching is tough. Also teams with super-stars seem to help attendance. If you live on the east coast try getting tickets to games when Clemens or Pedro are scheduled to pitch.

I think more people would pay to see the Yankees face the Red Sox with Clemens ve. Martinez, then to see the Yankees face the Devil Rays.

a drop by 14,000 seemed rather drastic.

Yeah, but maybe the final episode of Survivor was on that night.

There are so many factors that affect attendence. Basically it all comes down to what do people want to do for entertainment that specific day. For me going to see a Twins game ranks pretty low. If you've ever been to the Metradome you would understand. Now if I lived in Phoenix(which I did) or Denver I'd go see lots of games. Those 2 stadiums are very nice and fun to go to. The Rangers park is excellent also. I'm still hoping to visit every major league park, it's just gonna take a while hehe.

Which team are you? If you are one of the teams with a nice stadium I'd be suprised.

According to the commercials, if you visit every stadium, you better bring your MasterCard.

Being a GM of one of the many Twins teams ..........

Tis' not such a bad place to catch a game.

LOL

I get about 22,000 if I mess with the tickets it goes down, always down.

Teams with no Gm ( or one that is not playing) do end up sucking , an no one comes out to see them. I can be in 1st an still only get 14k at a D-rays game.

In real ball, attendance varies widely from day to day. 14,000 is not an unrealistic fluxuation.

Aside from the factors mentioned above, the day of the week plays a significant role. I cannot speak for other parks, but here in LA, the weekends are usually sell outs for both the Angels and the Dodgers, regardless of who they are playing. But the weekday games vary widely.

A cool addition to the game would be if you could spend some cash on promotional nights.

I know, let's get this incarnation fixed first, but I cannot wait for "(pick your favorite player) Bobble Head Night" in the ole' ball yard!

OOH...OOH...Can I have a midget on my team?

Maybe, when we have women on our team, instead of Bobble Head Dolls, we could have Bobble...well, maybe not.

I like the idea of trying to gain fan exposure through investing in promos, commercials, etc. Maybe we could have a generic 4th expense for publicity,
