Starter goes only 2 innings.

my #2 starter played only 2 innings last game, which can happen sometimes, but not when he goes scoreless those 2 innings and plays well. He has a B- endurance rating, but he should still make it through 6 innings without a problem. Any clue as to what happened?

Was he pinch hit for?

I've seen pitchers who were pitching well get taken out for pinch hitters way earlier than I would think.

my guess is that he made the start when he was tired already. sometimes that happens when injuries occer and the spot starter was used the previous game and such. when starters start without his needed rest, he usually doesnt last too long.
