View Full Version : League 115 Free Agency

The owner of San Diego in League 115 bid outrageous amounts on a number of free agents in this off-season, and then abandoned the team. His payroll is already in the 500s, twice what he's budgeted for, and he's on the verge of signing another hundred or two hundred points worth of free agents in tomorrow's sim.

Can we get his offers rescinded? Some other owners in the league have already bid over some of his high bids, and now it's going to screw up the finances of those teams that do sign these players. What a jerk.

Something similar has been discussed in this thread:

I agree that this needs to be addressed. If we are going to limit spending in other areas, we have to limit it in the free agent bidding process.

I joined a league as Philadelphia and their payroll was 1800!

I refuse to take a team that has already been owned. If somebody abandoned it, there is probably a good reason (like the 1800 payroll). I don't think that we can weed out the "casual" or "experimental" players until they start to charge.

Hopefully, your new league will be different for those of us who really care.

Often the huge payroll comes after the person leaves the team, and the team gets looted and players dump their high salaries on the computer team. Computers really need to take their budget into account when performing trades.
