In FastSim 6, Texas has recently ended up under computer control, and in the first month of the new season they've managed to jack their payroll up to 1309 points. I'm not sure how this happened, since the system is supposed to prevent those sorts of things--maybe the computer knows the loopholes--but it's going to make it a tough team to beat for a while, and then a tough team to do anything with for some time after that.
I have seen this happen in the leagues I am in also, but I must say it could have been the real GM doing it to his team befor he bailed.
I still want to know when the computer will let you trade with them, or is that not going to happen ? ( When the Computer takes over a team that has had no one running it for a while. )

Looting of teams and dumping high salaries is something I've seen happen again and again, everytime a computer takes over a team. I've said it before and I'll say it again, computers need to take their budget into account when trading.
For some odd reason, computer teams sign tons of free agents that were unsigned to begin the season and were excellent the year before. They stay in the minors for a while, then are released in the middle of the season. Any word on why this happens?

The CPU will, in my experience, only take trades that address its team's immediate needs. Read the message it gives you when it rejects your offer. It might say something like "looking for a starting catcher, etc." In general, you have to fill such needs to make a trade with the CPU. Although you can sometimes get prospects on the cheap, I think that trading with the CPU is not as easy as some people seem to indicate it is. Often I have had to give up a lot of talent and points to make a particular trade work, so don't expect something for nothing. However, if you are rebuilding and willing to part with older, established starters, you can usually come out ahead by trading with an eye for the long-term because the CPU often gives up good prospects in exchange for short-term sucess.

When the computer sims from the 6th to the 11th, a human owner can't release players on the 8th and 10th.
