How does the bench work?

I'm having trouble accessing the help section on how to use my bench. Does the ranking of players on the bench (i.e. Bench 1, Bench 2...) affect the amount of playing time that the bench players receive? How is playing time for bench players determined?

For a minor league team, the DH (for interleague play) seems to be the Bench 1 player. I have seen posts about subs entering the game in order of the bench, but I don't know if this has been altered

You lost me. Are you saying that my Bench1 player from the active major league roster is used as my AAA DH? That doesn't seem to make sense.

If you are a National League team, and play an interleague game at an American League stadium, the computer will add a DH to your lineup. This DH is usually your Bench 1 player.

Also, when checking for defensive replacements or replacements to rest the starters, the computer starts at the top of the bench, and works its way down the list.
