in the real football the divisional champs get a first round home game.

But in the new 4 divisions, one will be left with a road game, I think. Can someone verify this?

Actually, in the new system, the 2 best division winners get a bye the 1st week, just like before. Then the other two division winners get a home game. The road teams the 1st week are the two wildcard teams. This sounds like a bug.
