It would be great if GMs could vote on the three major awards for each league during the offseason. The announcement of the winners would have to be delayed until just before the start of the new season to give GMs a chance to vote or as an alternative voting could take place during the playoffs which usually last five to six hours in Fastsim. Anyway, I think this would really be a blast. With Baseball Mogul Online designed for lots of player interaction I think voting on awards would be a great addition.

I would allow GMs to vote for the awards in both leagues but voting could be limited to the league of each GM's team if desired.

As for the fielding awards I would continue to let the computer determine those as this would be too time consuming for most GMs and too cumbersome for Clay to implement.

Since all GMs probably would not vote I would also suggest the computer be given some input on the awards the actual weight being based on the number of players voting. The idea would be that the more players who vote the less influence the computer would have on who the award winners would be.

Also with players voting perhaps a manager of the year award for each league could be instituted based solely on player votes.

I have to say as a final aside that Baseball Mogul Online is really shaping up to be a great sports game and player feedback has definitely helped in this development. I have seen lots of great ideas from many different players as well as some terrific ideas from Clay.

Those are really good ideas...Maybe the GM of the year could receive extra mogul points as a prize. I think should run from maybe the beginning of September to the end of the offseason, because this way more teams will end up voting (some GM's might log in in September and then not again to the start of the next season).

I thought this was a great idea and am surprised more people have not commented on my suggestions vis-a-vis awards voting.
