Is the expenses based upon a 365 day year or on a 162 game season?

The reason I ask is, I know that a change throught the year is pro-rated. How is that calculated. It is somewhat important for the finances.

And....

Does that mean that the posted expenditure id how the rookies are divided or by the actual expenditure. This could lead to a cheap cheating technique. It would be easy to keep you expense at zero throughout the year and pop it to 1,000,000 at the end of the year just to get good prospects.

Its based on 162 game schedule. It also takes time for the changes to take effect in performance. Going from 0 scouting to 50 scouting wont make your ratings exteremely accurate.

The effects of expenses are based on your average ranking for the entire year. Changes to scouting and medical expenses obviously have noticable changes throughout the season, though these are not immediate, but your final ranking for farm expenditure, which partly determines the players you get in the draft, is secretly recorded by the computer.
