I downloaded the demo, and it was...a dissapointment, as i played, it became more and more clear that this was akin to Sierra's Football Pro 99', sadly, this game was rushed out the door before its time, before it was ready.

There are numourus bugs in this game, some of which are increasingly frustrating, why does the record not dissapear from the previous yr if your in commish mode and the game prompts out? why does the backup QB come in the game when its not a blowout, when the QB is not hurt? why does autosort sort players into all different kinds of positions but the position they are supposed to be in?

The player databases are way off, as a Redskin Fan, Darell Green is slowing down yeah, he is not as good yeah, but he is not over the hill, and cannot play! there are numouros other OVERrated/UNDERrated players on numourus other teams, the teams do not sim right, just not realistic, its a laugh to see the Bengals win the Super Bowl with the team they have, its a laugh to see star HBs getting only a certain percent of carrys one yr. then all of them the next, what i see, is a flaky engine, I dont see the realism of BBM2K3 behind the sims, I sense FBM2K3 was hastily put together to meet the deadline, and in that I am disappointed, seeing as there are not many Football Sims out there, Sports Mogul had a brilliant opurtunity to take control, or a nice slice of the FB sim market, but they have pushed this one out the door, buggy, independable,unstable, and thus have lost some fans, I will not be purchasing FB Mogul, its currently just too buggy to play.

Things i would like to see improved.
1. Offensive and Defensive Tendencies, this should be an option, because as a GM/Coach you want to be able to set how your team manages a game, if you drafted a All pro QB and have a great WR corps but a soso HB, why does your QB keep handing off the ball? the same with defense, we should be able to better utilize the talent we have.
2. the Draft is messed up, it should be a whole new window, with a thing at the bottom telling you who picked who, and the players and their ratings at the top.
3. The realism, no game is good without a certain amount of realism, as i simmed, FbM had almost none, I would like to see a scoreboard implemented atleast along without improved AI of the computer so that they dont leave their top FAs rotting in the FA pool, the Demo left me feeling i had just played madden....without the flashy graphics.

While reading this post, it made me realize one of the tendencies that may be will implemented.

The help on mogul shows that each team plays different formations in different down and distances. Well what players are left in with those situations?

I personally would like to put in my linebacker with amazing run defense (but little pass rush or coverage) when it is expected to be a run play. Of course this guy is good for run defense, but would be eaten up by any short passes.

Is there anyway that formations can be picked to set lineups there? The base O and base D are shown, but what if we want certain players to go out for certain plays, rather then letter the game engine decide which players are in the game or taking a brake.

In defense of the makers....

We are General Managers, not Coaches.


But I do agree that this would be a cool add in...to be able to select who plays on what sort of situation.

In response to rad roofer. Yes we are the GM's and not the coaches but the GM's hire the coaches and boss the coaches around a little. And if their were tendencies added in you could tell the Offence to do what all teams do PICK ON THE ROOKIE. Exploit the flabby run defence go deep on the 2ND RATE CORNER RAY CROCKETTE, or to play catch with Marvin Harrison. As I have said before this game will be LEGENDARY when certain items are put in. Like Speed ANY GIVEN SUNDAY Ashley Lelie could BURN Crockette man2man Marvin Harrison could Burn Crockette.
