I am new to this board, and to the game as well. I don't own it yet but will be getting it soon. I have heard of it before and thought that it was played online. But anyway I just wanted to say hello and that this is the kinda game I have been looking for. Would I be able to pick this up at a store or do i need to get it online????

Hi, Newbie -
Currently the game is only available online.
We encourage people to buy it from our website.
The game is also available from Chips & Bits. Another online retailer is trying to carry the game, but they have been having some technical difficulties. Hopefully we should be able to announce it soon.
Thanks for your interest!

Mr. Grove,
I was wondering what is the trouble getting Mogul in stores? Season Ticket (OOTP 3 dumbed down) is already in stores. I was just wondering what the hold up is. I do not think (they may be) the makers of OOTP are any bigger than Mogul Sports.
I do not think you will answer this, but I will ask.
Since 2002 never got in stores, is there any chance of money coming back? I have been trying hard for the MLML (my mogul league) to convert to 2002 (b/c I like some of the things in it). They will not even consider it (24-1 vote, I was the one) until money is involved in the game. Is there any talk of going back to the way Mogul was to try to make the best game as it was/is. I know I pushed this money thing to the end when the game came out and I went away, but now I was wondering if there was any talk to going back to what made Baseball Mogul famous. Feel free to email me if you do not want to post. william4192@yahoo.com
Thanks,
PS BTW Mogul sports rocks. They might have made some mistakes down the road, but they are still the best computer and make a very solid game.

It doesn't seem likely due to the MLB licensing requirements. I had a problem with the points concept initially myself until I discovered that 1 point = $ 200K. Since that epiphany came to me, I haven't given the points/money thing a second thought.

It is easier to deal with one player, but when you run a league (which is how I play the game) it is harder not to have the money (not everyone agrees as you do). He could ditch the MLB license (since the same file is up at baseballsimcentral.com for free downloading) and go back and put the features that are in 2000 and not in 2002. Some of these lost features (although are b/c of points instead of money) are the reasons some guys do not want to convert, not just b/c it says points instead of dollars.

Hey,
Sports Mogul itself does not put the game in stores...a distributor does such as WizardWorks, who got BBM '99 in some stores.
In order for the game to appeal to a broad audience, real players are needed. Without them, it would have no shot to get in stores. Of course, MLBPA license prevents dollars from being used.

This will be the last time I post on this. I just wanted a more direct answer. I understand that, but 2002 was released months ago and is not in stores. So the thought of adding the MLBPA to get into stores, is not jiving. If it is not in stores, why have it? But that is not really my question. My question is, is there any chance of getting the money (and features) back that we lost to get the game in stores (and it is not in stores)?
Thanks
