I think the Mogul Points system rewards a team being successful for a single season more so than being success for many seasons. If you are a low tier team and go far into the playoffs you receive enough mogul points to make you leader in mogul points for many seasons even if you are the worst team in the league the preceding and following seasons of your great run. I'd like to see the Mogul Points have a reward system that gives points to a team that is successful for consecutive seasons and be weighted by their tier level and/or financial capabilities.

I think the average mogul points and mogul ranking in the league pretty much tells you if a team is truly successful, you know, in the long run as oppose to single season mogul points. That is if there have been 5 or more simulated seasons.

I think that this all depends on your definition of success. Are the Florida Marlins a more successfull team than, say, the Boston Red Sox over the past decade? Or the Seattle Marriners?

If the little guys shoot the moon once, or twice, does that make them a better club over the long haul than say, a major market team that gets to the playoffs 8 out of ten years, but never wins a game in the playoffs?

At first, I hated the way the Mogul points structure was set up. But, now I'm reserving judgement until I have a few decades of play under my belt. After all, this game is supposed to judge your abilities over a long period of time.

There may be a better scoring system out there, but judging from what I have seen, over the long haul, it may work out pretty well.

I'd be very interested if someone would apply the Mogul Point structure to the decade of the 90s, and we'll see how it ranks teams.

Even the trophy goes to bad people sometimes and since they don't have a trophy they give the winner points.
