I am starting a league which becomes available Sunday (for GM's to pick there teams). I will post the password here Sunday night. Unfortunatly the league does not have a forum YET but bbmo are working on it.
Equalised, 30 day sim waiting for at least 20 owners. Each team starts with 75 points plus another 25 points if they have read and agreed to the rules.
It is a mixed rosters league using the fantasy draft (from the bbm 2003 cd) snake order (ie The team who was 1st in round one is last in round and vice versa). Each team contains 16 hitters and 14 pitchers. 2 Hitters in each position. There will then be a bidding war for the remaining stars in the FA market and at the start of every season there will be bidding for FA's. Which will Help players who won't be around at the very 1st sim of each season. This means that, for 1 day of each year the sim will be paused.
Computor controlled teams will have there cash kept at zero so that they can't sign FA's and wreck teams for new GM's.
Gimmick Players
Each team will recieve 2 Franchise players (1 pitcher and 1 hitter) you can NOT trade them. They will be signed to a 6 year deal for 25 points and a 2 Franchise Players will become available every 5 years (after the first season, the next date will be 2005, then 2010 then 2015 etc etc) they have to be choosen in these years.
You will recieve 1 player Drop every season.
You will also recieve 2 contract extensions till 2007 and 5 years there after (ie 2012, 2017 etc etc).
Awards
World Series Winners get 50 points and choice of 1 rookie across the league (to try and make this league competative from the start).
Runners up get 50 points and the rest of the playoff teams get 25 points.
MVP's get 25 points.
Best Pitcher 20 points.
Best rookie gets 15 points and Golden Gloves 10 points.
In 2010 (and every 5 years there after), Gm's who are still with there original teams get 50 point bonus.
There will also be a 50 point Bonus to Gm's who have a website promoting the league and a further 25 points every season they update the website there after.
You will get 2 points for each post in the sports centre (the post must be at the very leats 25 words long to qualify).
5 days is the longest you can go without signing in (without letting the commish no) after 5 days there will be a vote held in the forum on whether to boot you from the game.
You can not be more than a 100 points in debt if you are then we will vote in the forum whether to offer your best players to the highest bidders until your out of debt, give you a bank loan which you payoff every season (50% interest so a 100 points in debt you pay back 150) or boot you from the game (last resort). With the points on offer, there should not be a reason for you being in debt.
No cash cap (its an equalised league). No collusion or renting of players.
The rosters are done and i have to upload them from my notebook which iwill do tonight it will take me an hour since i no what players are at what teams, i'm giving out the password on sunday so that everyone has a fair chance at picking there team. The bidding on players start when theres 15 owners and the game starts when there's a minimum of 20 owners and a FORUM.
