None of these teams are in bad shape. They are all ready for a new owner to put their mark on the team and begin the road to the championship. As a matter of fact, some of the teams have mega cash and/or are competing for a playoff spot.

Did I say only the strong and hearty need apply?

No wimps, no gimmicks, no points. If you got game, bring it, otherwise go play your kiddie leagues. :)

Commish does actively manage the PC teams to make sure you aren't inheriting a bad team.

The offseason preceding 2015, will likely begin tomorrow. Good time to join and get a team in great shape. I've yet to see a single GM siting at 1 day even since I created this post.

Did I mention no silly expense caps?

Matter of fact, in this league your team will be owned by the dominant Mets and Expos franchises. Two fine GMs, one has had his team since the beginning of the league, the other since the 2nd season. You might as well not even join this league. You're just going to lose anyway. Find one of the ladies leagues (no offense girls) a few posts above or below mine. I'm sure you're going to need all those free drops, free cash, and sissy rules (no offense sissies) so you can build a competitive franchise with little or no work.

2015 is underway. Great league. No gimmicks. None of that extra BS to make little boys feel good. Houston is currently available and is tied for 1st in its division.

Jay Bell is answer to above.

Who has the record for most games played in a season? Its something like 165 games. Yes, that is not a typo.

The fine Tampa Bay franchise has been claimed. Come on, no takers on the trivia. Guess I'll post the answer soon.

Who has the MLB record for most career grand slams?

I fully endorse the AGML. It is both an excellent league in which to prove ones metal as a gm (no freebees. no takebacks. we all live or die based on the choices we make as gms), and a great league in which to learn the ins and outs of the game (as i did, and continue to do).

AGML is loaded with excellent, savvy owners who go to great lengths to make sure the league remains fun and challenging.

So, whether you have been playing BBMO for years, or just signed up for a membership, and are looking for your first league, i highly recommend you take a look this way. I think you'll like what you see.

Sorry folks, since the endorsment from the highly respected soobooboo, the empty spots are dissappearing fast. By the time you read this, the league might be full.

Lou Gehrig was answer to last trivia.

Who has the record for most pinch-hits in a season? Hint, it was 28 and it was in 1995.

DaveHorn

Want an easy job? Our few remaining PC teams are being run so well, that one of them is in first place in the league. With a 59-29 record Houston is tied with the best record in the league. A whopping 3.19 team ERA and the 5 starting pitcher's are making a whopping 9pts.

So, come and grab Houston if you want to join the best BBMO league in the house and hit the ground running.

John Vander Wal.

Houston still has the best record in the NL and still is available.

Link to AGML league is in my sig.

Today's gratiutous bump trivia question is....

Who holds the MLB record for most career pinch-hit homeruns?

Today's AGML update:

We have 24 super owners at this moment not a single one is sitting at 1 day. Since I've been commish, I've never seen an owner sitting at 2 days. I've been in this league for 8-9 months, it was my first BBMO league. I would say that around 18 of the 24 owners that are currently in the league, were all in the league when I joined. Very dedicated GMs.

We are currently in the September stretch of the 2015 season. This is a slow/daily league which offers two things that are hard to find in many of the leagues available. Slow leagues give you the chance to micro manage as mush as possible since only 10 games sim per day (assumming you can't manage your team each and every hour in hourly leagues). Daily leagues give you the chance to not miss key points of the season because you aren't available for long periods of time during the day. If you are able to log in at night before you hit the sack, you'll never have to worry about missing all the key FA opportunities. You don't have to worry (as much) about the computer making idiotic substitutes for injured players. Things like this make this kind of league different from most of the BBMO leagues out there.

So if this sounds like a league for you, you can find us at the link in my sig. I also link our website, which is mostly vanilla with no frosting, but we are tracking lots fun and interesting things lilke comparing AGML records with actual MLB records.

Cliff Johnson.

In the legendary AGML league, who is the only player to reach the 2300 RBIs plateau, surpasing Hank Aaron's previous record of 2297 RBIs?

DaveHorn
02-27-2003, 02:01 PM
Ken Griffey Jr. leads all AGML players with 2336 RBIs. Only two active players are in the top 10 in RBIs right now. Vlad at #4 with 2197 and ARod at 2062. These numbers exclude 2015 stats.

Well, I gave you all the chance to take Houston. Houston has finally been grabbed and is now playing the 2015 AGML World Series. We've got one day before the off-season starts. A perfect time to join the league and get your team ready to play for the penant in 2016. You simply won't find a more competitive league than this. Current available teams are at the top of this thread.
