In Daily Normal 3, I just had an incredible come from behind victory. On September 15, I was down 10-0 after 2.5 innings, and ended up coming back to win 14-13. This comeback was not only great, but also in the middle of a wild card race, so I just had to look at the play by play to see how it happened. I noticed right away that my pitchers only totaled 5 innings of work in the box score. In the play by play section, not pitcher is listed after Bobby Wald in the second inning, up until Jason Grilli in the 5th. However, Jason Giambi (who didn't start) suddenly started to bat in the pitcher's spot. He batted three times, in three different innings. When Jason Grilli came in, Giambi stopped batting, which leads me to believe that Jason Giambi was my team's pitcher for almost 3 innings! My questions are: How did this happen when I still had five guys left in the bullpen? and How could Jason Giambi pitch 3 scoreless innings?

Oh, there's another point in the same game where a mystery pitcher is pitching for my team, right after Grilli comes out of the game. This time, it appears to be Adrian Brown. And guess what? He doesn't give up any runs either. One position player, for one inning, in a blowout game, when all other pitchers have been used I can understand. However, two position players, with most of my bullpen available, for a total of 4 innings of work, giving up a total of 0 runs. Please tell me this is a bug and not the way the game is supposed to work!

It happened again, September 18 vs. St. Louis. My real pitchers only total 6 innings and non-starter John Olerud came in the game and batted twice in two seperate innings. And of course Olerud gave up no runs in his appearance. Can someone please tell me what's happening here? Should I just drop all of my high priced pitchers and let John Olerud, Jason Giambi and Adrian Brown be my aces out of the pen?

This problem happened again! September 11th versus Milwaukee, my pitchers only total up 8 innings. In the bottom of the 8th, Mike Matheny pinch hit for the pitcher, but no pitcher was brought in the top of the 9th. Which brings up another problem. The pitcher Matheny pinch hit for was my closer Trevor Hoffman. Hoffman had come in at the top of the 7th, which means he pitched 2 innings! This brings up the question, why would a closer come in the game in the 7th inning and why would he pitch 2 full innings? Hopefully now with Jokerswild as the new moderator, I'll actually get some answers?

Just checked the September 12th boxscore vs. Milwaukee. Not only did it happen again (pitchers total 7 innings), but it gave the loss to a pitcher who didn't give up any runs!?! Can someone please tell me what's going on before I lose my mind, or have I already lost it?

bump, I would like for Clay to take a look at this one. I don't know if this is supposed to happen or not, but if it isn't he should know.

Thanks for looking. Hope you can find what is causing that strange error in pitching.
