I have been in an excellent league for eight seasons called The Federal League II (http://forum.sportsmogul.com/forumdisplay.php3?s=&forumid=1213). I need to quit my team before my next billing date on February 5 as I can no longer afford the expense or time required to maintain my team. Check out the league page (http://www-2.sportsmogul.com/bb/leagues.pl?viewleague=1127) or The Federal League II forum (http://forum.sportsmogul.com/forumdisplay.php3?s=&forumid=1213).
About my team
My team is the White Sox in an equalized league, and we are at the beginning of 2011. I have won 3 straight division titles and was the AL Champion in 2009. My ace is Luke Reiter who has won three straight Cy Young awards and is signed for 3 more years at only 23 points! My star hitter is Paul Konerko who has 496 career homers, 4 Gold Gloves, 4 All Star appearances, an MVP, and hit 67 homers in 2005 for a Federal League II record. he is signed for 3 more years at 64 points.
My payroll is only 382, 15th in the league, and I was 7th in revenue last season as my attendance of 33,429 per game ranked 9th. I have been been in the playoffs 5 of the last 6 seasons and have averaged 2.6 million attendance since the beginning of the league.
About the league
The Federal League II (http://www-2.sportsmogul.com/bb/leagues.pl?viewleague=1127) is an active and competetive league. While there are currently only 4 computer-controlled teams (Seattle, Colorado, NY Mets, LA Dodgers) the league has been full or missing no more than 4 owners since the beginning. All owners work hard to make their teams competetive and are active in trading, player movement, in the forums etc. The owner, Lance, is attentive to the league and keeps in well maintained. he also ahs a records page for the league. I have kept a Milestones page for career marks, but unless someone takes it over it will die when I leave the league.
My team has been so successful I hate to let it go. But it is also at a good time for a new owner – still has talent, has cash in the bank, is under budget, and, with a few players having left int he off-season, room for a new player to make his mark by adding a few small pieces to keep this team on top.
Please don't let this great franchise become orphaned! You can be the next Sox GM!
