There's a discrepancy (sometimes farily large) for some players between the amount of Farm games played for offensive and defensive stats. For example, a player's offensive stat line will show he's played 30 games, but his defensive stat line will show 38 or 40 games played. I spose this could be due to a lot of late-game defensive subbing, but I thought I'd point it out just in case.

I've heard the response for why this happens, so I'll try to summarize this. AAA ratings are not actually simulated, but rather just estimates of what 'should' happen if AAA games where actually simmed. The amount of time it would actually take to simulate all AAA players would cause a major slow down in the game, and this current system is used to save that time (apperently, this time saved is very significant). This is how you can have guys who hit more home runs then they have hits in AAA (it happened somewhere once, but I can't remember where).
I hope this helps.
