OK, this past sim, I had all my pitchers lined up perfectly to start on 0 rest for the week. The sim still messed up.
The rotation should have gone like this (using rotation #s)
1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4, off
It really went like this
1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5, off
Each starter starts the same amount of times in both, but in one they all start needing 0 rest, and in the other 3 of them start needing 1 days rest.
Why did this happen?
Because my #1 got blown out in game 1 and therefore only needed 3 days rest, so he pitched the 5th game, which is cool. But then it should pitch the #5 starter, who is the only one fully rested. Then go back to 2,3,4.
So the expected performace of the rotation is to have the highest available pitcher (with 0 days rest needed) be the starter. This is not the case...
