Baseball mogul does not award a save to a pitcher who pitches at least the final 3 innings of relief in a win.

I believe but could be wrong that you have to pitch at least 4 innings in relief to pick up a save.

I think it does count it... If I remember correctly, it doesn't appear in the box score, but your reliever will be credited with a save in their stats. At least, that's what appears to happen to me. My long reliever will be credited a save, so I'll start looking through the box scores just to see, and never find it, but I will find a game in which he should have been credited the save (as you've said, pitching the last three innings of a game) but they don't credit him in the boxscore, just in his stats.

I could be wrong, but I've checked it out a few times, and that's the only explanation I can think of for the additional saves on my relievers' stats.
