What player were you supposed to get in return?
And were you trading with a human, or with the computer?
Thanks,
James

The player supposed to come back in return is
Vladimir Guererro. It was a "half computer" team
so its an inactive owner i guess. The trade is still
in my list to be cleared for your perusal.
thanks

I have had Montreal offer to return your traded players and points to you.
YOU MUST ACCEPT THIS TRADE (by July 31) if you want your players back.
Unfortunately, Vladimir Guerrero has already been traded to Oakland, so I can't automatically get him for you. (Oakland is human controlled, so I'm reluctant to force a trade...)
I'm waiting to hear from Oakland whether they intended to get Guerrero, or whether he got assigned to their team instead of yours by accident. It's possible that both teams submitted simultanteous offers, and his offer was accepted first...
You could try making an offer to Oakland...
And I've asked Ian to look into this, too.

Man!
That stinks.
Let's try to find out what happened with respect to Oakland. And I'll see whether Clay and Ian have the commissioner tools ready yet.

Pavel -
You were correct -- this is a bug.
Ian and I have been able to reproduce it.
Your Atlanta team and Oakland sent offers to Montreal almost simultaneously. You were both looking at the "confirm trade offer" screen at the same time. But Oakland hit the "Accept" button before you did.
Unfortunately, the bug is that the system only checked for a valid trade before showing the confirm trade screen, and NOT after clicking the Accept button.
Now the question is how to fix your team...
I'm working on getting an answer to that. I'll have to get back to you, however. It's tricky because it's after the trade deadline, so the simple solutions don't work now.
I'm sorry for the foul up -- it sure happened at a bad time! Right in the middle of a major trade like that!
Hopefully I can get you some kind of answer this afternoon.
Thanks for your patience,
James Grove

Pavel -
I have restored your team as best I could. Go accept the trade I put together for you.
Unfortunately, some of the players retired, so I couldn't get them back for you.
I'm sorry for the problem; the best I can do is say thanks for helping us fix this bug. We think it might have happened to one other person about a month ago, but we couldn't get enough detail to figure out if he he or the game made a mistake (he wasn't sure himself...).
Thanks a lot,
James Grove

Hi, Pavel -
I decided to log in and accept the trade for you.
I'd hate to see another season go by without having this fixed.
