Designated fielder in the minors

I have seen this before but this is the worst case- a "designated fielder" who has a lot of defensive stats but few offensive ones. Is it not showing his offense? Is he still developing while getting so few bats?

Minor League games are not actually simmed. The numbers will always be flawed, but it does give you a general idea of what kind of player he will be. That is why you will sometimes see a player with less hits than HR's or something like that.
