In a recent game in the NABL, where I am Houston, my closer somehow was allowed to bat in the ninth inning when I was down one run.

Now I don't consider myself Joe Torre, but I'm pretty sure I would pinch hit in those circumstances since the game is over if I don't score.

It worked out fine for me in this case, since I scored later in the inning anyway, but I just thought it was sort of strange.

Here's the box score.

TOP OF THE NINTH
Todd Walker came in to play Second Baseman.
Jacque Jones came in to play Left Fielder. <======== Also notice
Gary Matthews Jr. came in to play Left Fielder. <==== the subst.
Damian Jackson popped up to the catcher.
The Braves guarded the lines.
Billy Wagner struck out. <== MY CLOSER
Miguel Tejada singled up the middle.
Chris Singleton doubled down the left field line, scoring a run.
Byung-Hyun Kim came in to pitch for the Braves.
Jeff Bagwell was intentionally walked.
Magglio Ordonez lined out to second.
1 run, 2 hits, 0 errors, and 2 left on base.
In the middle of the ninth, the game is tied at 5.

I belive Clay has fixed the multiple-replacements bug that caused Matthews to replace Jones immediately after Jones replaced the Left Fielder. (Although it may not be live on the Online game yet.)

As for the closer, well, it's possible that the bullpen was depleted or something that made it important to keep the same pitcher in the game.

I'll make sure Clay knows about this.
