Sometimes when I go to the free agents page the computer asks me if I want to close my Internet connection and I can't see the terms that the free agent(s) are looking for. I'm also not able to choose a different position (i.e. I'm either stuck looking at pitchers or hitters).

Does this happen to anyone else? Is it something that I'm doing wrong? Can I change my IE settings to keep this from happening?

I don't know if it's IE related but it might be. At one point the pop-up player windows were no longer working with my IE (latest version). I downloaded Nestcape and I have been worry free since.

I was using the new IE myself, let me tell ya, that ended up in the delete bin. That thing sucked, and screwed up everything.

I'm not sure if it would be your settings or not, avoid AOL if ya can ( if your using that) try refreshing the page. I know that I have had pages just not load for me many times in the last few weeks.

I'm not using AOL, but I am using IE 6.0. Maybe it's an IE thing.

I use Norton Internet Security and I have more problems when it's on. With it off usually everything works fine. Personally I leave it on almost all the time because there a ton of viruses out there now and it's just not worth it to get hit. Believe me I know!

Also it is not advisable to install IE or AOL with your security program active. If you did this you may have messed up your program and may have to remove it and re-install it with your security program temporarily de-activated.
