I just had a game where my team went into extra innings before losing in the 14th. When I checked the boxscore, I found that my starter for the next game had been used to pitch an inning in this one, then got knocked out in the 4th inning of his own start.
This is ridiculous. There are NO circumstances whereby a manager would use his next day starter to pitch an inning in a game the night before. He'd let one of his relief pitchers pitch longer, but he wouldn't use the next day's starter. I feel like this may have cost me two games and it is something that should be fixed- a starter should never be used in relief unless it's the playoffs, and then only when they are not scheduled to pitch in the next two games. This is wrong.
