The deadline for making trades seems to be the end of July. In reality trades can be made until the end of August, as long as the player clears waivers. Is there any plan to ad a waiver system to the game?
I think that would add a whole new element of stategy, since you may have to claim a player you don't really want and hope he gets pulled back, so that your competition won't get him.
It would also extend the trading period, making things more interesting.

The leagues aren't active enough for this...For a waiver trade to go through, the players must pass waivers by each team (am i correct?). Just like you wouldn't be able to do a GM voting for awards, or for vetoing trades...it is the same for this.

Although the Mogulites will have to answer this specifically, from the general tone of what I've seen over the time I've been playing, they do are not going to add a waiver wire.
One of the reasons, I think, is that in order for a waiver wire to be effective, everyone in the league would have to review it. And they are trying to create a game that you can fly on auto pilot as much as possible.
Besides, it would just add an additional month (which flys by in 5-6 hours Real Time in fast sim games.)
You are corrrect, though. July 31st is the trading deadline. And in the fast sims, it can be a real challenge to work any deals by that deadline.......
