Equalized teams means every team has the same chance for revenue, same stadium size, same fan loyalty, and whatever else determines revenue. Of course, subsequent management might change things, but at least every starts off equal.
Good idea. Some might choose to join an equalized league if it were available. Currently I'm having fun learning the problems of the real teams but for 'serious' competition, an equalized league might be excellent.

How about total fictional league with all of the talent divided amoung a smaller size league, say two divisions of 20 teams.

I like things the way they are now, but I can see that as an interesting option down the line.
I beleive that there is an option to equalize all of the teams in the CD version of hte game.

You can equalize cities very easily even though the equalize teams function does not work very well. I was doing some testing on behalf of them to see how well it could be done as is and unfortunately the attendances would be very weak but the revenue would be there. As for online version I would like to test an online equalized cities league. Unlike my other league the only thing I would ask is HIGH activity since many ppl would wnat to get in and we'd want GM's who are active. I wouldnt do much with the league besides run a team since running a league is bad, in my opinion.
Make all cities equal as well as popularity, finance and ALL players would be free agents. The game starts with the teams drafting free agents. There might need to be some controls over players who would be tempted to spend all their money before they had a full team:)
I would join a league like that.

We have implemented the Equalize Cities feature for private leagues.
