I am in an online league and lately the batting order that I have set does not seem to be used in the games. the past 10 games or so my batting order is totally different in the game recaps. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

Did you have positional players rested during those games? Sometimes that has an effect on batting order.

That could be it...but if a pos player is rested does that cause the whole order to be shuffled around?

Also, what is the point of resting your starters? Does it lessen their chance of injury? Or is there some kind of fatigue factor in Baseball Mogul?

sometimes it does shuffle the lineup around at that point.

There is both a fatigue factor and a high chance of injury the more they pitch. Look at the #'s in () to see when they should be fully rested for their next start.

Is there a fatigue factor associated with position players playing everyday? Do they perform better if they get a rest every couple weeks? If you don't rest them (-10 in strategy) are they at a high risk of injury?

Injury of position players is based on a basic mathmatical posibility. Each player has a certain % chance of getting injured each game they play so it does increase the odds of a guy getting injured but it is totally relative to the # of games. Basically you help yourself very little by resting a guy a ton. Now by overplaying them I do not know if that % increases or not, but it does seem like their performance goes down.

I have been having the same problem. In my teams case, it is not due to resting or due to injury..... the computer insists on putting a slumping player with high ratings in the #1 batting position even though I have him 8th in my lineup...
