Insurance Idea

Just thought I'd throw this idea for the next version. Since some players get hurt - career type injuries - how about an option to purchase insurance on certain players' contracts? This is done in the big leagues for big-time money makers in case they are lost for the season.

I have yet to see anyone recieve a career threatening injury. It does not happen that much in the majors either - except to pitchers.

Besides, if such a thing did exist, the player would simply "retire" in the game, and his salary would go away with him.

Note that players retire when they are ready. If they retire in the middle of a season, the team is not responsible for the remainder of his salary. If they retire between seasons, the team is not responsible for the remainder of the dough on his contract, either.

So, in that respect, the game already has built in insurance.
