What is going on with pitching/hitting?

Maybe it's just the leagues that I am in, but is there some kind of tweaking going on? Pitching seems to absolutely stink, while hitting has gone out of control. Than, all of a sudden, hitting dropped drastically.

In the Idependent League, Helton had 50 HR's before the end of July. But all of a sudden, production has fallen so much that on Sept 4th, he has 58 HR's. Something strange has been going on, with plenty of inflated ERA's also.

Anyone have a comment?

I see the same thing. In one league it seems whoever I use as a starter will have a 6.0 era. Lieber or Joe Shmoe it doesn't matter. I'm in 3 leagues and they are all weird. In one I went 1-10 then turned around and went 10-1 with a .220 BA. It seems since the new rosters came out everything went screwy.

clay addressed the issue in another thread. Unfortunately I don't have the time to look it up for you right now. Hopefully someone else will come along and tell you guys where it is, rathere than just flameing you for bringing this up.
