Avatars?

Hey,

I have noticed that some people have pictures or animated gifs under their user names for their posts.

I think I am a dummy as I can't find how to upload one.

Could some one please tell me how?

Hi!

If you go to your User Control Panel (the User CP button up at the top-right) and go to 'Options', at the bottom of the options page, you'll see a button that lets you change your avatar.

SELF CREATED AVATARS:
Create your graphic as either a .gif, .jpg, or .png file on your own computer. |
BTW: The maximum size of your custom image is 50 by 50 pixels or 20000 bytes (whichever is smaller).

Select 'Change Avatar'. Then, use the 'Browse' button to find your file. Select it, and hit 'Submit Modifications'.

WEB HOSTED AVATARS:
Or, enter the URL of the graphic you'd like to use, and hit Submit Modifications.
Be sure you have permission to use the graphic if it's hosted on someone else's webserver.
