I haven't posted here in a while, but each of the Independent Leagues could use a few owners who want to be "the straw that stirs the drink..."

CURRENT OPENINGS:
INDEPENDENT LEAGUE:
The original Independent League is now in its 71st season (next reset in either 4 or 9 seasons), and has the following teams available: Florida, San Diego, Tampa Bay.

INDEPENDENT LEAGUE 30:
Now in Dabruinss custody, Independent League 30 is approaching its 14th season (next reset after its 20th season) and has the following teams available: Anaheim, Florida, Kansas City, Minnesota, Montreal, Oakland, Pittsburgh, San Diego.

INDEPENDENT LEAGUE CUSTOMIZED:
The first and to date only league that offers a US vs. the World format in the fall classic, "ILC" is just wrapping up its 5th anniversary season and has the following teams available: Berlin, Las Vegas, New Orleans. Note: If you wish to join ILC, please e-mail me at "mogul@coltsport.com" for the current password.

INDEPENDENT LEAGUE EQUALIZED:
The original Independent League is now in its 15th anniversary season and has the following teams available: Chicago NL, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, San Diego, St. Louis, Toronto.

Each league is somewhat different (30/day or 60/day, standard MLB cities or customized format, equalized or non-equalized, etc.) but all function under essentially the same rules:

- No computer trading unless there are 15 or fewer owners.
- No caps on cash or expenditures.
- Owner inactivity enforced after 3 days without login.
- Teams may not go into debt (negative cash) beyond a certain point (varies).
- New owners get 75 points cash, and can drop up to 3 of their 6 highest salaried players upon taking over a team (in ILC this doesn't currently apply).
- One FP (6 years/35 pts. per) and one free drop every 5 seasons.
- Reset referendum after each league's 15th season, with mandatory resets every 20 years.
- Web site (see below for link) to maintain league histories. This site also keeps track of Dabruins League as part one of the "Independent League Affiliates."

I think regardless of the type of league you're looking for, we might have something right up your alley here in the Independent Leagues, so come... get in our game!

i need someone to join as pit in IL30. they have made the playoffs the ast 2 years, and are in good shape. I play in cinci and would like a rival (other than the computer). this league is great, and the comish spends time updating historical stats, so nothing important gets lost!

The ILE equalized has been about as stellar a league as I have been in, with some pretty heated competition. Lots o' tradin. But we need some owners to pick up some pretty good teams that were abandoned for no real reason

Well, there you have it - our owners (well, a few of 'em, anyway) have spoken. Why not come and check one of our leagues out. You'll be glad you did! :)

Unless of course you're like me, and wouldn't join any club that'd have me as a member...

in which case, you can join for the competition level, which seems to be quite high.

Despite an amnesty of our "3D" inactivity rule through the Memorial Day holiday weekend, it appears as if the original Independent League is about to undergo a Stalin-like purge of 'dead wood' owners come Tuesday afternoon.

Should this come to pass, several quality franchises will be available, including Anaheim, Houston, Kansas City, Minnesota, Montreal, Philadelphia, San Diego, Tampa Bay, Texas and Toronto - plenty of opportunities to jump in and make a competitive splash in time for the IL's Diamond Anniversary!

Stay tuned. I will take a look at noon ET Tuesday to see if things have shaken out a little, but if not - tons of spots in the original IL will become available for the taking!

The purge has taken place, and you can benefit by joining today!
