Playoff schedule inconsitencies

In the Mogul Enthusiasts League the playoff schedule indicated the following matchups for the AL:
NY vs. Cle and Boston vs. Oakland
Well in the first round the computer changed the matchups and simmed Ny vs Oak and Cle vs Bos
The playoff schedule initially showed Ny up 2-1 on Cle but then the schedule changed and showed Oak up 2-1 on Ny.
Very confusing and irritating.
Can anyone explain why the schedule changed? Did the teams fly into the wrong towns and decided what the hey let's just play here?

In the last season of Fast Sim 68, aka the ghost town league, even though I had the best record in the NL (SF 117-45), I lost home field advantage to the Wildcard Team (COL 101-61) in the NLCS. I beat them, but am still kind of steamed about this, because I brought it up a while ago.
