Problem with the "Accept" button

I am playing my 4 th season of the football mogul game, and when I wen to renegotiate contracts with my players, I could not chose the "accept" option. The button was not active. I then lost all my players whose contracts expired and went on to the college draft. The same thing happened there. I went to draft a player and the "accept" button was greyed out making it impossible for me to sign them. I tried existing the game and openning it again. but that did no good. HELP!!!!!!!

I had plenty of cash, especially since I couldn't sign my free agents and lost them all. I ended up going into the draft with like 50 mill.
